Reconditioned lithium carts
I buy tired carts, convert them to lithium, go through them top to bottom and road-test them before they're sold. Each one comes with a written bill of sale and the conversion details.
What's ready changes week to week. Ask what's available, or tell me what you're looking for in the request form.
We buy carts, or haul them away free
Dead batteries, won't run, just sitting in the garage? If your cart is worth something, I'll make you a cash offer. If it isn't, I'll take it away for free. Either way, I pick it up, so you don't have to tow, list or deal with strangers.
Send a few photos
Use the request form and choose "Selling my cart" or "Free cart removal." Include the serial plate if you can.
Offer or free removal
A straight cash offer based on condition, or free removal if it's beyond saving. Usually within a day.
I pick it up
Paid on pickup if I'm buying it. You'll need ID and proof you own the cart, and we both sign a bill of sale or release.
How a visit goes
Tell me what's wrong
Call, text or use the form. A photo of the cart's serial plate helps me bring the right parts the first time.
Approve the estimate
You get the price in writing before any work. Nothing extra gets added without your OK.
I come to you
I text when I'm on my way. Most repairs are done right where the cart is parked.
Pay when it's done
Itemized invoice with what I found, what I did and the parts used. Handy for warranties and resale.
Where I work
The Villages area: Lady Lake, Wildwood, Fruitland Park, Oxford, Summerfield and Leesburg. Not sure if you're in range? Just call.
Common questions
Do you really come to my house?
Yes. That's the whole idea. I work in your driveway or cart garage, so there's no trailer, no tow and no dropping the cart off for a week.
Which carts do you work on?
Electric and gas carts: Club Car, E-Z-GO, Yamaha and most other makes. Lithium is my specialty. If yours is unusual, call and I'll tell you straight whether I can help.
Will I know the price before you start?
Always. You get a written estimate first. If I find something else once I'm into the job, I send you a new estimate to approve before doing it.
How much does a lithium conversion cost?
It depends on your cart and how much range you want, so I quote it upfront in writing before any work starts. No surprises on the bill.
Can you check out a cart before I buy it?
Yes. The pre-purchase inspection covers batteries, charger, motor, controller, brakes, frame and any modifications, and you get a written report with photos. It's a lot cheaper than buying someone else's problem.
Will you buy my old cart?
Yes, in any condition. Send photos through the request form and choose "Selling my cart," and I'll get back to you with an offer.
Can you just take away a dead cart?
Yes. If it's in my service area, removal is free. I recycle the batteries properly and use what I can for parts. You'll need to show you own it and sign a short release.
Can you make my cart faster?
Florida treats a cart that can go faster than 20 mph as a low-speed vehicle, which has to be titled, registered and insured. I only do speed work as part of a full, documented low-speed vehicle conversion.
Do I need to be home?
Not always. If I can get to the cart and you've approved the estimate, I can do the work and text you photos and the invoice when it's done.
Can you look after my cart while I'm up north?
Yes. The away-season plan covers regular checks and charging so your batteries don't die while the cart sits. See the away-season guide for what's involved.
