Terms of service
Version 2026-10-28.4. ZipZap Carts is a fictitious name of Deponch LLC, Florida.
Requests
Sending a request asks us to contact you. It is not an order and does not commit you to any work or charge.
Estimates and approval
- You get a written estimate before any repair or installation starts.
- We do not do, or charge for, work you have not approved. If we find something else during a job, we stop and send a new estimate for you to approve first.
- You can ask for your replaced parts back. Tell us when you approve the estimate.
Deposits and payment
- Upgrades and special-order parts may need a deposit before we order them. The estimate says when a deposit applies and whether it is refundable.
- Payment is due when the job is done, by card, cash or check. Florida sales tax is added as required by law.
Cancellations
Please give us notice if you need to cancel or move a visit. Parts already special-ordered for you may not be returnable.
Warranty
Warranty terms for parts and labor are written on your estimate and invoice. Manufacturer warranties on parts and batteries pass through to you.
Speed and street use
Florida treats a cart that can exceed 20 mph as a low-speed vehicle that must be titled, registered and insured. We do not modify carts to exceed 20 mph except as part of a full, documented low-speed vehicle conversion.
Your cart's condition and earlier modifications
- You agree to tell us about any modifications you know of, by anyone, including speed changes, lift kits, motor or controller swaps and wiring changes.
- We are responsible only for the work we do and the parts we supply, as listed on your invoice. We are not responsible for the condition, safety or legality of work done by others, or for parts we did not supply.
- If your cart can exceed 20 mph because of changes we did not make, keeping it legal (title, registration, insurance, or restoring it to golf cart speed) is your responsibility. We may decline to work on a cart we believe is unsafe.
- To the extent the law allows, you agree to hold Deponch LLC harmless from claims, losses or injuries that arise from modifications, parts or work not done or supplied by us, or from use of the cart outside the law. This does not cover our own negligence or anything we did.
- Except where the law says otherwise, our total liability for any job is limited to the amount you paid for that job.
Free battery checks
A free battery check is a quick look at your batteries, cables and charger, with the results written down for you. There is no obligation to buy anything. It is not a full load test or a diagnosis of every problem.
Total Cart Care plans
- A plan covers the services listed for it for one year from purchase. Parts and repairs beyond those services are quoted separately, at member pricing, and need your approval like any other job.
- Plans do not renew automatically. We'll ask before the year ends whether you want to continue.
- If you cancel, we refund the unused part of the plan, less the regular price of services already provided.
- Visits: Electric plans include 2 full services and 2 battery check-ins a year; Gas plans include 1 full service with an oil and filter change, 1 midyear inspection and 1 check-in. We schedule visits in spring and fall windows and text you two weeks ahead. Unused visits do not carry over. If the cart can't be reached at a booked visit and we weren't told in advance, that visit counts as used.
- Included at plan visits: inspecting, cleaning, tightening, adjusting, topping up and setting tire pressure, the consumables listed for your plan, and small parts up to $15 per visit. Replacement parts, repairs and diagnosis of new problems are quoted separately.
- A plan is not a warranty. It does not pay for batteries, chargers, motors, controllers or other parts that wear out or fail, for problems that existed before the plan started, or for damage from accidents, flooding, fire or misuse.
- One plan covers one cart, identified by its serial number. If you sell the cart, the plan transfers to the new owner at no charge. If you move out of our service area, we refund the unused part as above.
Year-end special (ends December 31, 2026)
- Free 40-point inspection with any paid service booked and completed by December 31, 2026. One free inspection per cart. The inspection is a report, not approval for any work; any repairs are quoted separately.
- Founding-member rate: Total Cart Care plans purchased by December 31, 2026, keep their purchase price for 12 months, and renewal during 2027 is at the same price.
Pre-purchase inspections
- An inspection is a visual and functional check of the cart as it is on the day we look at it, written up in a report with photos.
- It is not a warranty or guarantee. We cannot see inside sealed parts or predict hidden or future failures. The decision to buy, and the deal you make, are between you and the seller.
- The inspection fee is due whether or not you buy the cart.
When we buy your cart
- You must show photo ID and reasonable proof that you own the cart and have the right to sell it, such as the original receipt, a bill of sale or a manufacturer's certificate.
- You confirm the cart is not stolen and is free of loans or liens. We will not buy a cart if ownership is unclear.
- Offers are based on photos and are confirmed when we see the cart. Sales are as-is, recorded on a bill of sale signed by both of us.
Free cart removal
- Free removal applies within our service area to carts we agree to take after seeing photos. Outside the area, or where the cart is hard to reach, we quote a pickup fee first.
- The same ownership rules apply. For a cart belonging to someone who has died, the person with authority over their belongings must sign.
- You sign a release, and the cart and everything on it become ours when we take it. Remove any personal items first.
- Batteries and other materials are recycled or disposed of as the law requires.
Reconditioned carts
Carts we sell come with a written bill of sale stating the condition, the work done and any warranty.
Your rights
Florida's Motor Vehicle Repair Act gives you rights regarding estimates, invoices and replaced parts. Nothing in these terms limits those rights.
